Brandon Becker (Father) is a BFA candidate in Vocal Performance at CalArts where he studies with Latvian Bass-Baritone Paul Berkolds. At CalArts: Papageno in The Magic Flute, The Duke in The Fairy Queen. Brandon sings as a Bass-Intern with the Santa Clarita Master Chorale and participates in numerous other classical and new-works ensembles. In addition to singing opera, Brandon is a busy composer and music theory tutor.
Chris Chiquet (Masked Man) is an MFA candidate in Acting at CalArts. His recent credits include: Kilroy in Camino Real (The Theater @ the Boston Court) *LA Weekly Award nomination Leading Male, Caspar Goodwood in The Portrait of a Lady (CalArts), and Announcer in Day of Absence (CalArts).
Katie Lynn Gardner (Charley) is an MFA candidate in Vocal Performance at CalArts. After graduating with a BA from Kent State University, she performed for Disney Cruise Lines and was a member of the Special Events team. Locally, she has made appearances at REDCAT and Highways. She is also a trained aerialist specializing in aerial silks and static trapeze.
Jasmine Hughes (Masked Woman) is an MFA candidate in Acting at CalArts. An award-winning actress and performing artist from Greenwood, MS, Jasmine was recently seen in Camino Real (Boston Court), King Headley II (CalArts), and soon will premiere a new work with My Barbarian at REDCAT.
Vivian Kane (The Sweeper) is an MFA candidate in the Acting program at CalArts. Some favorite recent roles there have included The House of Bernarda Alba (Ensemble) and Family Happiness (Masha). Other credits include Juliet in Romeo and Juliet (San Francisco Shakespeare Festival) and Desdemona in Othello (African American Shakespeare Company).
Paul Matthis (The Doctor) is an MFA candidate in Performance/Composition at CalArts. He has scored films, commercials, and TV pilots, sound engineered everyone from the Sex Pistols to Totally Radd!!, sang in seven awful bands and one good one, performed in numerous operas and musicals, and has composed brilliant pieces for contemporary dance performed in Florida, New York, and now Southern California. BA: FSU.
Justin Montalvo(The Man) is a native New Yorker, actor, dancer, singer, writer and martial artist. He co-founded the Kinetic Junglist Movement, a dance company dedicated to the preservation of underground dance, and has chronicled his experience in an auto-bio play entitled Logos Subterranea. Justin received his ballet training at Studio Maestro in NYC and performed/studied Congolese African dance with Ballet Casquelourd. He is currently completing his BFA in Acting at CalArts. Credits include Alan in Equus (Warrior-Poet Prod.), Feste in Twelfth Night (dir. Lily Whitsitt/Office Ops), Caliban in Dancing Behind My Eyelids (dir. Samantha Shay/A.R.T@Club Oberon), Bravo in A Splendid Death (dir. Maureen Huskey/CalArts), Bokan: The Bad-Hearted (Loco 7 Prod./Ibero-Americano Theatre Festival), and Invasion from the Chicken Planet (Steve Horowitz/REDCAT). He has also choreographed and performed his own work at the La Mama Moves dance festival.
Elisa Rosin (Mother) is currently studying Vocal Performance at CalArts with Maria Dean. Elisa began her opera career at an early age, performing in Carmen with Northwest Lyric Opera, and Das Rheingold (part of The Ring Cycle) with Seattle Opera. Originally from Seattle, she performed in the state-level competition of Solo and Ensemble, as well All-State and All-Northwest choirs, and previously studied vocal technique with Kari Ragan at the University of Washington.
Kelsey Springsted (Sophia) is an American Lyrical Soprano who began her classical singing career after surviving the bone cancer Ewing Sarcoma. She currently trains in Vocal Performance at CalArts, where she has appeared in L'enfant et les Sortileges(The Bat), the premiere of Moth(Sister Sadie), Die Zauberflöte (Spirit), and part of the ensembles of Iannis Xenakis’ Oresteia, the premiere of Prosper Springs, and Purcell’s Fairy Queen.She was a dancer and singer in the premiere of Maria’s Orchard at Center Stage Opera. She regularly performs a variety of styles from classical solos, Baroque chamber music, musical theater, and her own compositions. A dedicated teacher, Kelsey hopes to travel to hospitals and camps around the world to inspire children through music.
